DSW: Anyhow, DSW is shoe heaven for
those of you who are like me or Carey from Sex in the City.
Now I am on a budget so I can't justify buying $500-$700
Jimmy Choo/Manolo Blahnik/other designer shoes, but it does't
mean that I can't go to an amazing store like DSW and just
spend hours in there going up and down the aisles trying shoes
on and then selecting a great deal or two and getting them.
My most recent purchase was for a new pair of running shoes.
They are actually getting quite expensive, and I was able to
find a pair of Asics running shoes for $39. I was excited
because the running store I went to earlier were selling them
for $100.
Anyways, shopping there can be a pain in the butt because you
serve yourself, but at the same time some may argue that it is
actually better this way because you don't have to wait for
the customer service rep to go back and get you your shoe
size. Everything is on the floor. You can have your pick
from flip-flops, sandals, work shoes, dress shoes, etc. It's
extremely dangerous because someone like me can be stuck there
for a whole day (maybe I'm exaggerating). Well, if you can't
handle a day excursion, at least go for an hour and try on
some shoes for a great deal. |
